During the two days spent in Córdoba city, the members of the Choir of the Witwatersrand University enjoyed the possibility of some free time to walk arround the down town area. Some of the chosen places were the shopping mall, the pedestrian area and the monuments and historical places.

One day, they decided to do the "Historical City Tour of Córdoba", in that opportunity they went to the San Martín square, then to the "Cabildo", they also visited the Cathedral and the Jesuit Mission and Headquartes of the National University of Córdoba.

The second day was specially for shopping. Everyone took its own way through the city to do what they enjoy the best. First at all some of them went to change money. Some people decided that nothing could be done without eating something first; and that is why they went to the Food Area of Patio Olmos Shopping. Others went straight to the shops and then to get something to eat. They bought clothe, curious, artcraft, music, postcards, "ponchos" and traditional gaucho stuff like "mate".

While walking, some of the Wits Choir members met the clown Piñón Fijo, the "Chu Chu A" guy. Of course they did take the chance to take a photo with him.

The first night in Córdoba was at Patio Olmos Shopping Mall, organized by the local newspaper "La Voz del Interior". Soon after disembarking the bus from Villa del Rosario, the choir went to the auditorium where they were surprised to see that there were about seven hundred seats available for the audience.

While the choir was practicing and warming up, the audience started to take their reserved seats. What the Choir didn´t know until the show started was that the organizers had to add three hundred chairs, as well as the crowded standing audience who were permitted entrance at the last moment. Unfortunately, many were turned away from the entrance with long faces.

With only fifteen minutes delay, Maxi Olocco of "La Voz del Interior" welcomed the audience and made an introduction to The Chase Educational Foundation and to the Wits Choir. Following this, Susan Chase from TCEF thanked the newspaper for hosting the choir and finally the choir made their grand entrance.......singing.

The Wits Choir's concert was qualified "Marvellous" the next day on the front page of the newspaper "La Voz del Interior" . The Wits Choir captured everyones heart and took home a huge ovation from more than a thousand people present during the performance. After the show, we all went back to the bus and to the host families in Villa del Rosario.
