After a great reception in Marcos Juárez, it was time for lunch. There, as usual, the Bollatti family made and exceptional welcome and host us. Three members of the choir stayed with them, and all TCEF staff enjoyed some "milanesas" with Juan, Kiti, Tati y Santi Bollatti. The remaining members of the Wits Choir had lunch with their respective host families.

Then it was time for a siesta, and afterwards it was time to go to the Church of Marcos Juárez to prepare for the evening's performance. It was the only time during the tour that the Wits Choir rehersal was opened to the members of the local choir. The concert started with some pieces from the Municipal Choir of Marcos Juárez. Following this, the choir of the Witwatersrand University gave their performance.

For the last song, Dalene invited the Municipal choir to join them at least with some dance/choir steps. Once the show was over, a special member of the comunity honored the visitors with the song "Ave María".

And that, dinner, chicken, salads and party. At the Club Argentino both choirs spent a great night together. The meal was delicious and the music and dancing were great fun for everyone. The local choir conducted by Cristina performed Jacinto Chiclana (song that was part of the Wits Choir repertoire), and spontaneosly the visitors joined in with them... and they sang it together.

It was Saturday, and the night was still young. Everyone took the chance to go out and learn about Argentine night life and clubs. Sunday, of course, was a late morning; and shortly after lunch it was time to depart to Villa Maria. Thank you, community of Marcos Juarez and especially the Bollattis for all their support!

Next stop: Villa María.
