After a free day in the city of Córdoba the members of the visiting choir met at the Iglesia del Pilar two hours before the show started to do warm ups and rehearsal exercises. At the grand entrance to the beginning of the show, they walked in with their colorful clothing with impressive impact, and to everyone's joy, - they excelled not only with ther voices but with their joy expressed in their movement.
After the concert, and the big ovation received there, the priest once again - as he said one year before - that the builders of the church built it knowing that two hundred years later Dalene would come to make the most of its acoustics with the wonderful choir she conducts.
To celebrate a great performance, The Chase Educational Foundation invited the Wits Choir to dinner and to honor their visit to Argentina. The celebration took place in Solar de Tejeda restaurant in the heart of Córdoba and it was a very enjoyable evening under candles light.
The gala started with cold meat and salad and after that some pasta, lasagna, was served. Everyone was enjoying the evening and relaxing after a long and very exiting day in the city of Córdoba. Suddently the energy went off and the candles were lighted. That gave a very special atmosphere to the night, but everyone was happy when the energy came back.
This was a very special moment for TCEF because it gave us the opportunity to spend some quality time with our visitors, relaxing, enjoying, talking, learning; but mostly, and very important for us, sharing with them. It was a very pleasent evening.
Of course, music was also part of the event. And, once again, the official song of the Wits Choir Tour Argentina 2003 was played; yes, that is the "chu chua" song; and even some people was tired... they always have strengh to stand up to chu chua. They choir also gave to the people of Solar de Tejeda restaurant one of their song to thank their service.
Well, the evening was lovely, but the day was long and tiring, and it was already about two in the morning. It was time to jump into the bus to make the return trip of aproximetly ninety minutes to Villa del Rosario.
