The University of the Witwatersrand choir is one of great diversity and
talent and is conducted by Dalene Hoogenhout, a talented and experienced
musician. In our mission statement we recognize that South Africa requires
togetherness on its way to growth and prosperity for all. We believe that a
multi-racial, multi-cultural and multi-musical institution has a lot to
offer towards this aim.

The choir also aims to unite the diverse cultures
of South Africa through music, and make these cultures known
internationally. Therefore, an integral part of our mission statement is to
achieve excellence in choral performance while promoting the enjoyment of
the universal language of music, regardless of culture, origin or
nationality.
