The choir left from Hernando after lunch time to Ucacha, where the
Barbershop Choir made a short but very special visit.
After one hour of traveling, they arrived to the town of Ucacha. At the
entrance to the town they were met by the local Voluntary Fire Brigade
of the City of UCACHA who were their reception and escourts into the
city centre. They drove through the different areas of Ucacha and after
a little while they had more than twenty cars following them as an
entourage. Also, the local people started to go outside their houses to
wave hands and say hello to the visitors.
The concert that night was held at the local church and was another great
show. The people from Ucacha were captivated and honored for having the
choir from St. Albans College with them. After the show, the all had dinner
together with the local choir and authorities, where they had the chance to
talk and to know a little more the people that so warmly received them.
After some singing, taking group photos, and really enjoying the warmth
and hospitality of the Ucacha residents, it was time to go back to
Hernando for a well deserved rest.
