After a long day of traveling from the city of Mendoza, the Simply Blue
choir arrived to the city of Cordoba where the authorities from
Collegium were awaiting for the group.
As soon as they arrived at the local bus station, the students were
transferred to the school installations where the excited host families
were ready to take each one of the choir members to their temporary new
homes. After welcome words from the hosts and host family distribution,
everyone departed for a well deserved rest.
The following day, they had a free morning with their host families.
Some of them stayed at home while others went out to enjoy some
shopping. In the afternoon they all left to Oncativo, to return late at
night after their performance there.
Sunday once again gave them some free time during the morning to rest,
or spend some quality time with their host families. Early in the
afternoon they met at the San Martin Theatre to warm up and prepare
ready for the concert.
The concert was divided in two halves. The first being performances by
local choirs and bands; the second half was for Simply Blue. The
auditorium was completely filled to overflowing and everyone in the
audience enjoyed the show. After the performance, Collegium offered some
snacks and drinks to Simply Blue Choir together with the host families.
The last day in Cordoba started early morning. The choir presented 3
mini concerts to the kindergarten pupils during the morning. Then, they
had a half hour workshop meeting before enjoying some chicken and chips
for lunch at Collegium.
After lunch, the joined a walking tour of the city of Cordoba where
they visited the Cathedral, the Cabildo, the main plaza "San Martin",
the Jesuit Mission, National University of Cordoba headquarters, and the
pedestrian area in down town Cordoba city.
Later that afternoon, they returned to Collegium to pick up their
luggage and left to Cordoba Shopping Centre where they performed for the
last time in this city before departing to the province of Salta to
continue their tour.
