Prior to the first performance in Argentina of the 'My African Dream' Tour of the Trans Oranje School for the Deaf Choir, audiences at the Casa de La Cultura of Pergamino were delighted to have the local deaf choir perform before the large audience that had accumulated to enjoy the evening's entertainment. Credit must be given to the Teachers, Director and performers of the Pergamino Deaf Choir for their wonderful and varied production, which included artists of all ages, - from infants to Adults, all of which showed their prowess in the transmission of the Argentine Hand Sign Language to their hearing audiences. It is interesting to note that many of the performers in the hand sign language were actually hearing persons, and have taken a very big interest in learning about the Deaf Culture, thus had become involved in the Choir. Congratulations to the Choir Director, Teachers and Staff who have dedicated their time to this awareness campaign to bridge the gap between hearing and the Deaf cultures.
